Zoom integration
Nova OS is a scheduling, CRM and content workspace. The Zoom integration exists for one job: when someone books a time with you on a Nova OS booking page whose location is set to Zoom, Nova OS creates a real Zoom meeting on your account and puts the join link in the booking, the confirmation email, and the calendar invite. If the booking is rescheduled the meeting is updated; if it is canceled the meeting is deleted.
Without the integration, a Zoom booking can still only carry a static personal-meeting-room link you paste in by hand. That is the problem this solves.
Installing the app
- Sign in to Nova OS at app.usenovaos.com.
- Go to Integrations → Zoom.
- Click Connect Zoom. You are sent to Zoom's own consent screen.
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow. Zoom returns you to Nova OS and the Zoom card shows the connected account's email.
- In Scheduling → your event type → Location, choose Zoom. New bookings on that event type now get a generated Zoom meeting.
One Zoom account is connected per workspace — the host's. Nova OS never asks a booker to have a Zoom account.
Permissions we request, and why
| Scope | Why Nova OS needs it |
|---|---|
user:read:user | Read the connected account's email and name so the Integrations screen can show which Zoom account is connected, and so meetings are created on the right host. |
meeting:write:meeting | Create the meeting when a booking is made. |
meeting:update:meeting | Update the meeting's time when a booking is rescheduled. |
meeting:delete:meeting | Delete the meeting when a booking is canceled, so your Zoom account isn't left with dead meetings. |
Nova OS does not request access to recordings, chat, phone, webinars, contacts, or other users on your account, and does not read meetings it did not create.
What we store
- The OAuth refresh token and a short-lived access token for the connected account.
- The account's Zoom user id, account id, email and display name.
- For each booking: the meeting id and join URL of the meeting Nova OS created.
Nothing else. No meeting content, no participant lists, no recordings — Nova OS has no access to any of that. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Uninstalling / removing the app
Either route fully revokes access and deletes the stored tokens:
From Nova OS
Integrations → Zoom → Disconnect. The stored tokens and account record are deleted immediately and the grant is revoked with Zoom.
From Zoom
Sign in at marketplace.zoom.us → Manage → Added Apps → find Nova OS → Remove. Zoom notifies Nova OS of the removal and we delete the stored credentials for that account automatically.
Removing the app does not delete Zoom meetings that already exist, and does not delete your Nova OS account. To delete Nova OS data entirely, see Data Deletion.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid redirect url" on the Zoom consent screen
The Nova OS host you started from isn't the one registered on the app. Start the connect flow from app.usenovaos.com and try again; if it persists, email us.
Bookings still show a pasted link instead of a generated meeting
The event type's Location must be set to Zoom. Open Scheduling → event type → Location and check. If Zoom isn't connected, Nova OS deliberately falls back to whatever link you pasted rather than failing the booking.
"Zoom needs a quick reconnect"
Zoom rejected our stored credentials — usually because the app was removed and re-added, or the password on the Zoom account changed. Click Connect Zoom again on Integrations → Zoom.
The meeting was created but the invite has no link
Confirm the booking's confirmation email was sent (Scheduling → the booking → Activity). If the meeting exists in Zoom but the link is missing from the invite, send us the booking id and we'll trace it.
